Three characters assemble a portrait of the Siemens workers' neighborhood in Berlin, which became an open-air museum of International Style buildings. Their stories of detachment reveal the transformation of the German working class family within the utopian habitat for which it was created. The film We, People of Siemensstadt narrates the present life of these characters: Hafiza's family, originally from Ghana, changed the whole appearance of Hans Scharoun's apartment, challenging his modernistic taste, but maybe at the same time radically fulfills his socialistic yet white vision. Stephan the lonely Siemens employee is not embraced by his colleagues, but rather spends his breaks sleeping on the table; and Suzan, a jewish woman, returns to live in a so called 'Nazi' building with her teenager son. Ofir Feldman's film is part of the cinematic project BAUHAUS REMAINS, Produced by The Steve Tisch School, Tel Aviv University And Bauhaus Universität Weimar Faculty of Art and Design.
