The artist Ahu Dural, working in the fields of drawing, collage and sculpture, will provide an insight into her artistic work process on Saturday, 12th September + Sunday, 13th September during Open Memorial Day 2020. The exhibition "neues bauen 13629" at Scharaun will be officially opened on Saturday, 3rd October 2020. The rooms of Scharaun and the progress of the exhibition can thus be exclusively visited on the weekend of the Memorial Day from 11am til 6pm.

Ahu Dural will also offer two walks around Siemensstadt during the preview weekend.

Beginning at Scharaun and its immediate surroundings, the artist Ahu Dural will take the visitors on a walk to share her thoughts on the architecture of Siemensstadt. Her narrative will be guided by her family history and the places of her socialization (school, after-school care, daycare center, apartment). As the eldest daughter of Turkish immigrants, she grew up in Siemensstadt, an industrial estate of Berlin Modernism.
