Born in 1963 in Berlin, Richard Thieler grew up in a family of artists. He has been photographing cinema architecture with his digital medium format camera since 2009. The collection, which has grown to over 600 photographs, features movie theaters from Europe and the United States. Thieler is regularly represented in exhibitions.
